2. That the room has space for everyone
If you requested a crib, extra bed or a family room, make sure it's noted in the hotel confirmation — requesting it by chat or phone alone isn't enough.
3. Kids' documents, valid and complete
Unexpired ID or passport, and if they're traveling with only one parent or another relative, the corresponding authorization. It's what stops people at immigration most often when it's missing.
4. Timing that doesn't complicate the routine too much
A tight connection is harder to manage with a stroller and several bags. If you have a choice, a schedule with more breathing room between flights is usually worth it.
5. Insurance that covers the kids too
Make sure the policy includes everyone traveling, not just the person the booking is under, and that it covers an urgent medical visit if needed.
